The vibe of the game is clear and the fear I felt was very real, although I can get spooked easily. I like that you guys didn't rely on jumpscare after jumpscare, and really built up the anxiety and tension one feels walking through a creepy place. The models were well implemented and didn't sacrifice framerate. I think a trailer would be a good touch for the page! The haunted toilet that kept coming up in playtests was a really fun part.
You make a great atmosphere in this game for player to explore in a dark room. The words on the wall is helpful to the way finding and also fit in the concept. Different models in the game also looks great and bring more story in this building. Really want to know how this look in the Quest. It will be really helpful if you can record a video.
This game was an extreme success. I always am really easy to be scared when it comes to horror games, and while I was notable to play it, seeing someone else experience the fear gave me a larger sense. I would love a gameplay video if possible just for people who are not able to experience it. Otherwise it looks great.
I think you guys had successfully make it into a horror game atmosphere, it is very exciting to play! I am a scary cat for sure but I love horror lol. I think getting the door script and blocking player from going back as the player explore the space is a huge accomplishment. Players feel anxious and wants to escape esp when you are in a dark room, no where to go but to explore. Things I wish to see more are maybe making the bloody scripts even more creepy— maybe animate bloods dripping off the ceiling, a creepy doll handling somewhere or chasing after the player, puzzles, more sound effects on the door and etc… Also like what will happen or what are some ways players can get out of the house? Maybe players can also be a detective investigating other than classic horror games. I think you guys definitely talked about this too, I am just excited to see more!
This game definitely seems interesting to play especially with the VR headset. I would love to experience it in person with the whole blood scripts on the wall, and small hints within the game. A gameplay video would be much appreciated!
Speaking as a player who has personally experienced this game, I felt the tension and a hint of terror in your game - a lot compliments, of course! I really like the blood scripts on the walls. Except for the pushing away of the cabinets, which was less than intuitive for me, everything else was perfect! Especially the last part of the chase - I was really feeling desperate!
When I first playtested this during development it already was really good at conveying an impossible space. I went down the hallway and when I looked back the space changed! I hope you guys can upload the gameplay footage because I couldn't play the final version.
