Nightrunner

Nightrunner is a retro-inspired "driving simulator" that focuses on recreating the experience of night driving. I the developer often go out at night and drive around, without a destination in mind, and during this time I talk to myself a lot, sort of a self therapy I guess, and this game aims to simulate that experience.

Q- clutch

W- throttle

R- ignition

A,D- left and right

Up,Down- upshift and downshift

Press both Q and R at the same time to start engine, then Q to clutch in, Up to upshift, W to give throttle to move the car, as your rpm gets higher (you can hear it), Q and Up (at the same time) to upshift to achieve higher speed. Excluding the neutral gear there are 6 gears in total.

Downshift works the same as upshift.

If RPM reaches 0 when not in neutral gear and Q is not being pressed, it will kill the engine. If this happens re-ignite the engine. It is also recommended to downshift back to neutral/1st gear to restart the car and go up again since the car has less torque in higher gear.
